The first time I went to New Year was my sophmore year of high school and it was with my music department. Every year my high school’s music department (Band, Jazz Band, Chorus, Show Choir) goes on a trip out of state to compete. And by compete I mean lose horribly because the students suck and only join the classes and clubs to go on the the yearly trip. I personally had an awful time because we spent most of our time on bus tours, at a college competing or in New Jersey at Medieval Times (what Medieval Times has to do with music, I don’t know).
The second time was better and I went last year though I mainly went to try out of The Voice and got no where. lol

I’ve only been to NYC for 24 hours, for a Revlon charity walk in 2005. I enjoyed every second of it, but most of all was being on my own and finding a restaurant someone had recommended to me while my traveling companions went dancing. I’m not fun like that, but I loved feeling free!

The first time and only time I went to New York I had just graduated from high school. It was my first time on a plane, my first time on a tour bus and my first time outside of Utah. It was terrifying and exhilarating!

I participated in mock United Nations with overachievers from around the globe wanted to be politicians, run NGOs and change the world. I insisted on being Mormon and wouldn’t eat rum cake. I still regret that decision!

The first time I visited New York was actually Glee related 😉 I went to the Big Apple, at age 38, to see my first Broadway musical- How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying starring Darren Criss. I loved it there, did all the touristy things of course and I can’t wait to go back to visit again.

The thing that blew my mind about TMNT was when I found out that it was unofficially set in the same world as Daredevil. Click my name for a cracked.com article that explains it. And the similarities don’t end there. Daredevil had a mentor named Stick, of course the TMNT’s mentor was master Splinter. Stick was fighting the evil Hand organization, the TMNT were fighting the Foot.

I have no answers to the First question, never been to NYC. I live in Flyover Country, only taken two trips by plane. Oddly enough, both were to Orlando, but for different reasons. And I didn’t go to Disney World on either one.

My grandparents took my family to NYC when I was little to see the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. I don’t actually remember the parade at all, but I do remember going to some fancy steak restaurant and my grandmother being suuuuper peeved that we’d left the coupon for free fries or something halfway across the city in the hotel.
