My first collectible that I bought and kept in the box would be the Burger King Lord of the Rings glasses (excuse me, goblets!) that light up in the bottom. I really want to use them, but I hold back.

The first thing I got as a collectible was a GI Joe that had multiple outfits, guns, grenades, and other cool attachments. I had put it away in a storage box. Come to find out about a year later my mom gave it away to the Goodwill saying “You didn’t seem to want it, you never even opened it.”. It crushed my poor 11 year old soul.

Not a dang thing. Heck, two years ago I was given some still-boxed Star Trek TNG figurines, and they were out and on the shelf next to my super sweet Sailor Moon dolls that evening.

The first collectible I bought and left in the box was a Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Link action figure. It came with a tiny master sword and Hylian shield. Eventually our heater melted the glue around the packaging so I took it out anyway.

Not a thing. My grandmother used to give me Steiff stuffed animals, and I took the yellow tags and buttons out of their ears, much to her HORROR.
