This one was super easy for me to remember because I think there has only been one time in my life where I wanted to order something off of television. It was “Weird Al” Yankovic’s The Ultimate Collection VHS that was released in 1993. They played a commercial for it and the only way you could get it was to call a toll-free number and order it. I watched that thing at least 270 times! Now, of course, there is The Ultimate Video Collection DVD but at the time that was the thing to own, especially due to the fact that it wasn’t sold in stores!

The first thing I ever bought off of the TV was a CD called “Dance Mix USA”. I got it on TV when I saw that it had Paperboy’s “Ditty” and Positive K’s “I Gotta Man.”
I couldn’t buy those regular albums, because the both came with a Parental Advisory sticker… This was as close as I could get…

I love Harland Williams! I wish he was in more movies nowadays. I don’t care what anyone says, Rocketman is hilarious.

I actually had that Mortimer pen! I didn’t realize it came from TV order. My Mom just gave it to me. It wasn’t as nice as Bill’s, but I did enjoy it rather immensely. I wish I still had it – I would send it to you, Vanessa, so you could relive some part of your childhood. Never too late!

The thing I wanted soo badly from TV was the flying bird toy. You wind it up and throw it and it flies. It just looked so awesome.
